Fiberglass products are manufactured through a process of open molding or laminating of thermosetting plastics to produce what are known as fiberglass. Almost anything can be manufactured out of fiberglass which makes it very versatile

Carbon Fibre and Kevlar

Carbon fibre is the stiffest and strongest reinforcing fibre for polymer composites, the most used after glass fibre. Made of pure carbon in form of graphite, they have low density and a negative coefficient of longitudinal thermal expansion.

Carbon fibre is very expensive and can give galvanic corrosion in contact with metals. They are generally used together with epoxy, where high strength and stiffness are required, i.e. race cars, automotive and space applications, sport equipment.
